This morning takes a short City tour visiting the Genocide Memorial Museum, the Inema arts Centre and local markets and have an early lunch. At 1330 drive to Volcanoes National Park – a stunning three-hour drive north among the lush, green landscape of the countryside. The landscape of Volcanoes National Park is incredible with a spectacular line of volcanoes far into the distance. At the park, visit the Gorilla Guardian’s Centre to learn about the history of Volcanoes National Park. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Wake up for breakfast at 0700.Drive the short journey to the park headquarters where briefing,
porters and tea and coffee will be given before starting the adventure into the forest. Porters
trained from the local community are available for hire to help you on your trek and its urn you
will be contributing to their lively hood and that of their families.
Tracking can be anything from one hour to 7 hours depending on the gorilla group you are assigned.
You will spend one hour with the gorillas – sometimes moving along with the gorillas as they feed.
The guide will ensure you are in the best spots to take the most beautiful while telling you more
about their habits.
Return to the hotel to freshen up before transferring back to Kigali in the afternoon. Arrive at
the airport int time for check in for your home bound flight.
