The guide will pick you from your hotel at 9.00 am and off you depart for Jinja. On the way don’t miss Mandela stadium, Namawojolo market and, Mabira Forest and the sugar cane estates.
Go via Ssezibwa falls. It is a magnificent beauty and charming environment. Ssezibwa falls is a historical site located at Kayanja 10 kms off Kampala Jinja highway. Ssezibwa is a luganda word meaning something endless. The falls formation is fascinating oral tradition dating as far back as the 16th century. The sounds of hissing waterfalls welcomes you here, the environment in Sezibwa has natural color. Climbing the diamond shaped edge rocks is a fascinating adventure of Uganda tours. A lapse in concentration could land one into the hands of the falls. At Sezibwa falls tourists enjoy bird watching and hunting. There is also music, dance and drama.
At Jinja, several kilometers downstream from the ‘The Source’, the White Nile takes its first big step down along the 6,300 kilometer journey to the Mediterranean Sea. The cascade that formed the first big step is called Bujagali Falls, ‘Budhagali’ in Lusoga, the language of the Busoga peoples who live in this area on the east bank of the Nile. Here the river is split into 7 channel but is now the sight for Bujagali Electric power dam
After lunch go down to the source of the River Nile .The thick riparian woodland here is rewarding for birds You will have a chance to visit the Source of the Nile; This is where Speke became the first European to see the Nile’s source in 1862.
There is also a memorial to Ghandi, as this is where his ashes were scattered. . . Should there be time, we’ll take a drive through Jinja town itself. Take a boat to the very spot of the source of river Nile. Depart for Kampala at 4.00 pm arriving in Kampala before 6.00 pm
